Naiʻa is an artist and muse; a social entrepreneur that values and works with the creative potential within individuals in order to grow the capacity of communities to heal and thrive. Born and raised on the eastside of Oʻahu, an island in the most remote archipelago in the world, she has developed the ability to build bridges between her Native Hawaiian roots and the rest of the world. From illustration and graphics to multi-media work and podcasts, Naiʻa produces builds narratives around aesthetic life. In addition to solo work, Naiʻa also uses her Mosaic Murals™ as a collaborative, creative process to bring groups of people together around a common vision and mission.
Naiʻa has shown her work in various exhibitions, and has facilitated group Mosaic Murals™ for the Hawaiʻi Conservation Alliance, Kupu Hawaiʻi, the 2012 Aha Wahine Conference, the 2014 World Indigenous Peoples’ Conference on Education, the 2016 International Conference for Marine Mammal Protected Areas, and for a variety of partners and community organizations. Naiʻa is also Creative Director at 84 and Sunny, a digital, marketing and communications company in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi.
