The founding cultural collective members, Tomie Arai, ManSee Kong, and Betty Yu have deep roots insocial justice activism, cultural organizing, and community arts engagement in New York City and NYC’s Chinatown. The Chinatown Art Brigade has joined forces with CAAAV Organizing Asian Communities’ Chinatown Tenants Union, to launch ‘Here to Stay’, a project that features a series of large-scale outdoor mobile projections that address themes of gentrification, community resilience and resistance in NYC’s Chinatown.”
