TEST Young Historians, Living Histories | Richard Yada

Young Historians, Living Histories Students and educators explore Asian Pacific American history and culture

Richard Yada

Richard Yada is a 3rd generation Japanese American from Arkansas. During World War 2, he enlisted in the US Air Force and fought for the US. At the same time, his parents were uprooted and forced into an internment camp and his grandparents moved back to Hiroshima during the time of the dropping of the atomic bomb, poignantly reflecting the irony of war and loyalties.
