03 Jan / Seeking recipe testers
Do you enjoy trying out new recipes?
Do you sometimes wish you could change some steps in a recipe?
Do you love to give lots of great feedback?
Do you want to help a crazy-busy, frazzled food writer out?
If you answered ‘yes’ to any of the above questions, then perhaps you’d be interested in testing out some recipes for my cookbook. Please email me at: pat[at]ediblewords[dot]com. Let me know what types of recipes you’re interested in and how many you’d like to test, and I’ll give you a list to choose from as well as some guidelines on what feedback I’m looking for.
You’ll have my eternal gratitude and your name forever imprinted in my published cookbook!
Thank you!

Your project sounds interesting and I’ve enjoyed looking at many of your posts. I’d be interested in testing a recipe or two. My interest is in Japanese home cooking, but because there are so many dishes influenced by other cuisines (Korean, Chinese, Hawaiian, and others) or it would be fun to try something new. I’m no expert in Asian cooking, but I’m cooking my way through a Japanese cookbook to learn.
As I mentioned to you before, I would love to test out a few recipes! Of course, if you have any Filipino recipes I would like to try those out. But I’m very open to trying any recipe. Depending on how soon you need feedback, I can test multiple recipes if you want.
Hi; I love authentic ethnic regional cuisine of all kinds. I know what you mean about grandmothers; the Mediterranean Cook Book scene reflects that sentiment also. I have cooked professionally, and my own background is Italian. That being said, I have spent the past while delving into Asian cuisine, and am loving it. I would very much like to participate in recipe testing. I am spending a lot of time cooking these days, so I can probably test a few recipes a week for you if you wish. I look forward to hearing from you.
I’d be interested in trying some recipes. I cook a lot of asian food, most of which is reported on in my blog 🙂
I’d be interested in trying out some recipes for you (I already try out one a week and talk about it on my blog). I prefer to cook recipes that don’t take multiple hours to cook or involve ingredients that are impossible to track down (though I do live in San Diego, so I do have a fair number of Asian grocery stores at my disposal).
Sounds like a really interesting project that I’d enjoy being a part of. My neighbor is from Singapore and we often cook recipes handed down from her parents and grandparents. I have no professional cooking experience but I’d love to test a recipe or two.
I’m interested. And my family would probably benefit from my experimenting 🙂
Hi! I just stumbled across this request on another website. I write a cookbook review blog (linked above) and thus am incredibly interested in projects such as this. Additionally, I’ve written a cookbook and have been in your exact position so I have some ideas as to what are/aren’t helpful comments. Anyway, let me know if you still need help.
I would love to try out your recipes for the Asian Grandmother’s cookbook. I love asian food and am a pretty good home cook. Let me know if you need my help. I am willing and able. Thanks, Jenny
I would happily test some recipes. I can test recipes that include hard-to-find ingredients as here in Boston we have a large Asian community and plenty of Asian grocery stores.
As it is now very cold, I’d like to try out some warm plates or soups, but not all very spicy (a little is ok – I hate it, my husband loves it). Maybe two recipes over an hour to prepare or 3 that are 30 minutes to prepare – whatever works for you. Anything that needs advanced prep or hours of cooking (like stocks) is fine as well.
I would be interested to try some recipes
I love Chinese food, and trying new recipes is always fun.
If possible some child friendly, so my son can help me, he likes to help.
My food restrictions are no shellfish or pork.
I’ve been surfing and clicking somehow I came across this page. I’ll be interested to try out some recipes for you.
If you’re still looking for testers…I’m game!

I am in love with your blog and am very interested in this project! Please let me know if you need anybody else.
Hi Julia (that’s my mum’s name too), thanks for your kind words. I will be in touch!
I am retiring from full time computer work, have invented recipes from deviating from originals, and am interested in working part time – cooking has been my passion all my life. I love asisan cuisine and would like the opportunity to work with you on this project.
If you are still looking for testers please contact me. My passion is food, especially recipes that rely on the quality of in season, organic foods. I have traveled in asia and love the fact that most of the people I came in contact with “live” to eat and not eat to live. Much of the time was spent discussing where and what to eat next. I am always looking for something new to try and would love to be a part of this project or any others that require a person who loves being in the kitchen trying new things and is passionate about food.
I have never volunteered to do this before but I’m impressed with your blog so, I would like to help out and test your recipes. I am Filipino, and I love Asian food.
Hello there,
I would be joyed to help out. I can’t say I do Asian cooking except for stir fry, so I would be a great tester for your recipes as I represent the average person. I’m very observant and will let you know if anything is unclear, etc. One should have no questions about a recipe if it is done right. I absolutely LOVE Asian food. I don’t eat American fare. I’m Spanish, Czech and English. Though I live in America I really don’t eat their food. I love meats (red), and white fish, I love vegetables. I don’t cook things generally that have cream sauces. I do a lot of Modern European meals, Italian and French. What I pride myself mostly on is baking. Many people are intimidated to do it. I love breads and desserts. I don’t make ice cream every because I don’t have the equipment for it. I am a fresh food shopper at the local farmers markets and a gourmet cook in my own kitchen. Please let me know what kind of recipes you have a available to test. Best regards and best of luck as well!
I would love to help test recipes. Do you still need help? I just moved to a new community and I am looking for something new to do.
