The event showcased the exhibition <em><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/apanews.si.edu\/2011\/05\/17\/portraits-of-encounter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Portraiture Now: Asian American Portraits of Encounter<\/a><\/strong><\/em> and allowed participants to converse with exhibit curators and Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Program staff.
