He is a fellow at The Century Foundation and a project leader at the World Policy Institute. His articles and op-eds have appeared in <em>the New Yorker<\/em>, <em>Slate<\/em>, <em>the New York Times<\/em>, <em>the New York Review of Books<\/em>, and other publications. He is the recipient of a Marshall Scholarship, a Guggenheim Fellowship, and a fellowship at the Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers at the New York Public Library.
