The recent publications, New Worlds, New Lives: Globalization and People of Japanese Descent in the Americas and from Latin America in Japan, and Encyclopedia of Japanese Descendants in the Americas: An Illustrated History of the Nikkei, both sponsored by the Japanese American National Museum, were the focus of the program.
Speakers addressed issues pertaining to the formation of new homes and communities in areas such as Canada, Brazil, and the United States. A panel discussion was followed by book signings.
The program was co-sponsored by the Japanese American National Museum and the Embassy of Japan.
