Panelists included Yeiichi Kelly Kuwayama and Col. Jimmie Kanaya of the segregated Japanese American 442nd Regimental Combat Team, and Col. Charles McGee, Tuskegee Airman. Col. Kanaya also spoke about his Korean War experience. Franklin Odo, curator and Director of the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Program, moderated.
Presented by the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Program and co-sponsored by the Japanese American Veterans Association and the National Japanese American Memorial Foundation.
