Community presentations to accompany Exit Saigon, Enter Little Saigon exhibition
Members of the Vietnamese American community in the DC metropolitan area will bring cultural presentations to the traveling exhibition Exit Saigon, Enter Little Saigon currently housed at Eden Center in Falls Church, Virginia, on Sunday, August 23, 2009. Be sure also to check out the exhibition before it leaves on Aug. 30, 2009.

The schedule of events is as follows:Time:
Sunday, August 23, 1 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.

1 p.m. – 1:45 p.m.
A presentation of traditional Vietnamese insturmental music by Kim-Oanh Nguyen, Nguyen Khanh Han and Phuong Nhi (on the 16-string zithers), Michel Bui (drum), and Dao Cong Minh (flute)
2 p.m. – 2:45 p.m.
Nguyen Ngoc Bich and Phuong My will perform a medley of Vietnamese lullabies, folk songs, and folk poetry (in English), accompanied by Long Vu.
3 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.
Tran Lang Minh and Nga Mi will do a program of classical (i.e. traditional) Vietnamese vocal music, including such performances as Quan Ho, Chau Van, and Ngam Tho.
