Presidential Pearl Inaugural Gala
The Presidential Pearl Inaugural Gala on January 19, 2009, celebrated the long-anticipated inauguration of what arguably is the election of our first Asian Pacific American president! He was, after all, born and raised in Hawai‘i, has a hapa sister, an Indonesian stepfather as well as an extended Asian Pacific American family.

Proceeds from the sale and auction generously benefited the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Program.
