The 2010 Smithsonian Folklife Festival needs hundreds of volunteers to serve in a variety of diverse and engaging positions, from assisting with a specific festival program, to serving as documentation, hospitality, or sustainability aides. One of this year’s festival programs examines Asian Pacific Americans in the Washington, DC area, thus creating many opportunities for members of the APA community to volunteer.

The Festival takes place June 24-28 and July 1-5 on the National Mall in Washington, DC. Prospective volunteers should sign up by June 7, through this Volunteer Questionnaire.

Should there be an interest in volunteering past June 7, please inquire with Volunteer Coordinator, Reshma Sinanan-Hill, or with Assistant Volunteer Coordinator, Jennifer Jameson, concerning position availability and volunteer need.
