40 Provocations to Reimagine the Arts, Documentary, and Journalism<\/span><\/h4>\n

The Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center has partnered with the Ford Foundation to republish select pieces from the foundation's series CREATIVE FUTURES<\/a>, 40 provocations by thinkers across the spheres of arts and culture, documentary film, and journalism. Brought to life by the social, racial, and economic reckonings of 2020, the series aims to reimagine these fields, and through them, fuel and shape the transformative possibilities to come. Guest edited by APAC Curator Lawrence-Minh B\u00f9i Davis, these pieces also serve as inspiration to further transform the Center\u2019s Asian American Literature + Museum initiative<\/a>. Below find a selection of 5 pieces from the series, republished with permission of the authors and the Ford Foundation.<\/span><\/h4>\n
