About the Exhibition

A/D/O by MINI presents DISASSEMBLY : BROOKLYN, a Workspace Member Exhibit by artist Wiena Lin. The exhibit is accompanied by a series of photos by Berlin-based photographer, Kai Loffelbein.

DISASSEMBLY : BROOKLYN is a participatory art installation that explores our obsession with technology and the untold story of the consumer electronics lifecycle, as well as the devastating environmental and labor conditions of offshore recycling. The artwork translates the global consumer electronic waste cycle into an immersive experience with a social conscience.

CTRL-X: A TOPOGRAPHY OF E-WASTE is a photo series and new book by Berlin-based photographer Kai Loffelbein. In his book, he follows the electronic-waste trails from Europe and the United States to the post-apocalyptic scenery of Agbogbloshie in Ghana, the e-waste city of Guiyu in China and the backyard workshops of New Delhi.
