Okay, Mommies (and Daddies) … how often do you hear that??!! And have to see that adorable little face turn away with such high-brow disdain? [I hear it only gets worse as they get older … I fear, I fear!]\n

From the author\/illustrator of the award-winning The Snowy Day<\/em><\/a>, comes more memorable adventures with the adorable, perky-eared little bunny who’s got some very big feelings indeed.<\/p>\n

He’s got a litany of woes against his poor mother, who dares to sleep late on Saturdays (probably as late as 7:01 a.m., oh gasp!), who won’t let him watch cartoons, who yells for no reason (never mind the overflowingly soapy bathroom sink mess), who’s late picking him up from school, who forgets to wash his clothes, who says she can’t marry him even when he gets bigger! What’s a heartbroken little bunny to do?<\/p>\n

With whimsical details (check out the red pom-poms on Mommy’s slippers, the little bunny’s self-portrait on the kitchen table in pasta and peas), Sakai offers a much-needed humorous look at some of the very real challenges of mother\/child relationships. We all need to laugh more, right?<\/p>\n

When this title arrived, our son was indeed mad at me (for specific reasons still unknown). Being the mature adult (ahem!), I was annoyed right back, which caused me to drive home rather grumpily after dropping him off at swim practice. But this<\/em> adorable little pick-me-up was waiting on the doorstep when I arrived back … and made me just giggle, laugh, and fall back in love with my own not-so-little baby all over again …<\/p>\n

And wouldn’t you know … by the time I picked him up, he was equally happy and bouncy as usual. So the next time you’re feeling a bit out of sorts with your child, share this book together. And feel the madness dissolve into cuddles and giggles. I promise!<\/p>\n
