10 Sep / Louder Than Bombs: Interviews from the Progessive Magazine by David Barsamian [in AsianWeek]

Louder Than BombsA compilation of 21 interviews (two with the recently deceased Edward Said) with some of today’s leading lefties, including quite a number who do our community proud: New Left Review editor and political playwright Tariq Ali; Nobel Prize-winning economist Amartya Sen; Booker Prize-winning, war opponent writer Arundhati Roy; Hawaiian activist Haunani-Kay Trask; and Third World activist Vandana Shiva. Barsamian is obviously adept at getting his subjects to reveal their thoughts and stories.
