Seattle lifestyle guru Deirdre McIntosh’s life turns upside down when her Live Simple television show is suddenly cancelled, her live-in best friend decides to move in with his new soulmate and her bank account is about to bottom out. She takes refuge in an isolated ramshackle lakeside cabin owned by a potential mysterious new lover – only because she has nowhere else to go. A feel-good beach read for sure, although ironically, it’s the two graphic sex scenes that seem incongruously thrown into an otherwise simply fun romp.
