Aani, a young Indian woman, bravely leads the other women of her village in putting their arms around the many trees of their forest in order to save them from being cut down by unthinking developers.
Based on true events that occurred in northern India in the 1970s. The women were victorious. As a a result of their effort, village councils today are able to determine how many trees can be cut down without damaging the land and depriving the inhabitants.
