Thomas Mader
Thomas Mader (b. 1984, southern Germany) explores the notions of national identity and nationhood through a variety of media. Working with pop cultural themes such as SciFi and Soccer he tries to decipher strategies of national branding and strategies of peer group cultures.
He holds an M.A. In both literature and fine arts. Selected exhibitions and publications include: GFZK, Leipzig; SAVAC, Toronto; NGBK, Berlin; BOMB Magazine, New York and Bus Projects, Melbourne. Thomas Mader lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
